Congress state president Karan Mahara said, BJP has nothing to count the achievements of Modi government in the Lok Sabha elections, due to which now BJP has resorted to doing petty politics on Mangalsutra, the symbol of marriage of women.
While talking to the media at Congress Bhawan, Mahara hit back at Prime Minister Modi’s statement on Mangalsutra. Said, married women wear Mangalsutra as a symbol of their marriage. This sacred tradition has been going on in Hinduism since the Vedic period. It is also believed in Hindu religion that along with gold, chareu seeds are also worn in the Mangalsutra, which are considered very sacred and revered, but BJP insulted it.

Said, those talking about selling Mangalsutra are forgetting that women’s Mangalsutra were sold to bid farewell to their daughters during demonetisation. They were sold for the treatment of their loved ones during the Corona epidemic. Those under whose rule Mangalsutra were sold are today making false allegations against others for the sake of power. During the rule of Congress, there was no such situation of snatching the wedding symbol of any woman. On one hand, BJP leaders are making women’s Mangalsutra an election weapon. On the other hand, the disappearance of 230 kg of gold from the temple of Lord Kedarnath is not even investigated.
