A case under Gangster Act has been registered against four people, including former private secretary of the Chief Minister, PC Upadhyay, accused of defrauding crores of rupees in the name of getting a government tender. Accused Upadhyay, along with his associate Saurabh Vats and others, has defrauded crores of rupees from many businessmen across the country. Upadhyay was arrested by the Kotwali police two days ago. Whereas, Saurabh Vats has been arrested by Rajasthan Police.

It is noteworthy that in July last year, a businessman resident of Patiala, Punjab had filed a case in the police station against PC Upadhyay, Saurabh Vats, his wife Nandini Vats and Shahrukh Khan. The victim has many types of businesses in Patiala. He had deceived the businessman that he could get him the government tender. For this he took more than three crore rupees from the businessman.
