In view of the Lok Sabha elections, as part of the anti-drug campaign being run by the police, Rawatsar police station of the district has arrested two smugglers smuggling illegal sawdust. The police is busy interrogating both the arrested youths.
Rawatsar police station in-charge Vedpal said that the police team under the leadership of SI Imichand was patrolling the police station area, during which the team arrested Sanjay alias Goru (24) and Vishal (27) with 20 kg of illegal poppy seeds. A case has been registered against both the youth under the NDPS Act.
The police team is interrogating both the youth in connection with the illegal buying and selling of poppy seeds.
