A separate case of fraud has come to light from Chhindwara. The biggest officer of the district associated with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan deposited Rs. 1.25 lakh on the phone of fake CBI and did not even make any inquiry. Later, when the fraud was realized, a complaint was lodged with the cyber cell.

The matter is related to Chhindwara Shri DPC Irpachi. District Project Coordinator Mr. Irapchi’s son lives in Indore. Three-four days ago the DPC gets a call and the caller says that I am calling from CBI, your son has been caught and you send the money. After this call, DPC sent 80 thousand rupees from himself and 50 thousand rupees from another person to the caller. Later it was found out that this is not CBI but cyber fraud. After coming to know about this, DPC has complained about the matter to the cyber cell.

What are you afraid of, why did you give money in the name of CBI?

Officials, leaders and industrialists trapped in corruption may fear that ED and CBI might expose them. But why did a district coordinator associated with education in a small town like Chhindwara give money on CBI’s phone? This question is arising after this complaint that what fear is haunting the DPC due to which they did not even inquire about the calls made in the name of CBI and deposited the money. Without even interrogating his son, the DC deposited approximately Rs 1.25 lakh from the account of himself and another person.

Officers are becoming victims even after warnings

Constant warnings are being given regarding cyber fraud. Everyone is being told that the call made to you may also be a fraud. And in what ways cyber fraud is being done which can cause financial loss to you. Complete information about this is also being given. Even after that, people are continuously becoming victims of cyber fraud. Now the situation has become such that even senior officials associated with the education department have started becoming victims of such frauds. Although this call was in the name of CBI, still an officer with a higher level of education should have verified whether the CBI call was fake or whether some case had taken place.
