Dr. Akshay Kanti Bam had entered the electoral fray for the first time. Congress had given him Lok Sabha ticket for the first time. He immediately came into limelight because he contested the country’s biggest election without any political background. 45 year old Akshay Bam is a successful entrepreneur and youth leader of Indore city. Dr. Akshay Kanti Bam was born to Kantilal Bam of the famous social worker Bam family of Indore city.
Dr. Akshay Kanti Bam’s primary education was from Daly College Indore, a prestigious educational institution of Indore. After that, he obtained B.Com Hons from the famous Sydenham College, Mumbai, postgraduate degree in Law (LL.B Hons) and MBA (Public Administration) from Devi Ahilya University, Indore and got a place in the merit list. In the same sequence of higher education, he obtained PhD degree in Management from Shridhar University Pilani, Rajasthan. Being born in a social worker family, Dr. Akshay Kanti Bam was influenced by his family background since childhood and he has been taking part in political and social work. Dr. Akshay Kanti Bam, at the young age of 23, established ‘Indore Institute of Law’ in the year 2003 and established Indore Nursing College in the year 2006 and Idyllic Institute of Management in the year 2010.

Dr. Akshay Kanti Bam is the patron of the famous social organization ‘Sanstha Keshariya’ of Indore city. Through the organization Keshariya, Akshay Bam provides free scholarship, study material and career counseling facility to the destitute and poor students for their guidance. Through the organization, free ration is distributed to the identified needy families of the city. With the aim of women empowerment, the organization provides sewing training to women and distributes free sewing machines. Free computer training to poor students, free drinking water distribution through water tankers, free eye operations to poor and destitute people through health camps, free pilgrimage sites to religious devotees are provided. Dr. Akshay Kanti Bam was awarded the Entrepreneur of the year Award in 2017 and ICON of MP Award in 2019.
Asked for ticket for assembly elections, Congress ignored it
Dr. Akshay Bam, who left Congress and joined BJP, had sought ticket from seat number four of Indore in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. But, Congress did not give him the ticket then. In the Lok Sabha elections, Congress had made him its candidate from Indore seat. But now Bam has left the hand of Congress and has taken hold of the lotus flower.
